Sacrocurse are a band from Mexico that has had some music reviewed before in this zine and plays a mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Gnostic Holocaust" which will be released in May by Hells Headbangers.
Ritualistic soundscapes along with some choirs and spoken word parts start off the album before going into a very fast war metal direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats along with some death metal growls while black metal screams are also utilized at times as well as the music being rooted in the 90's.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads bring in a very chaotic yet old school style along with the fast riffs also bringing in a decent amount of tremolo picking and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them as well as the growls also getting very bestial at times.
Sacrocurse creates another recording that remain true to their old school mixture of war, black and bestial death metal, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Gnosticism, Occultism and Violence themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Sacrocurse and if you are a fan of war, black and death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Jaws Of Hell" "Endless Khaoz" "Maze Of Serpents" and "Gnostic Holocaust". 8 out of 10.
