Flame Acausal are a band from Sweden that plays a very raw and satanic mixture of black, war and death metal and this is a review of their 2016 demo "Contra Mundum In Aeturnum" which will be re-issued in my of 2018 as a joint effort between Blood Harvest Records and Helter Skelter Productions.
Horror movie style synths start off the album and also capture of the atmosphere of a classic black and white movie before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also uses a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats along with the vocals being mostly hateful black metal screams.
A great amount of war metal elements can be heard in the music which is also very heavily rooted in the 90's while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some death metal growls also being used at times as well as the riffs also also chaotic single string riffing at times and as the demo progresses a brief use of clean playing and ritualistic spoken word parts can also be heard before returning back to a heavier direction.
Flame Acausal plays a musical style that takes the rawest elements of war, black and death metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover Satanism, Devil Worship, Alchemy and World Hate themes.
In my opinion Flame Acausal are a very great sounding raw mixture of war, black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Shunned Wolves" and "Cruel And Implacable". 8/5 out of 10.
