Void are a band from the United Kingdom that plays post black metal and this is a review of their 2018 ep "The Unsearchable Riches Of Void" which was released by Bad Princes Productions.
A very heavy sound starts off the ep along with some blast beats and tremolo picking after the music speeds up while a slight grindcore influence can also be heard at times as well as the vocals being mostly angry black metal screams and shouts are also utilized at times and some of the riffing has a technical edge.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while clean vocals are also used briefly along with some of the riffing also displaying more of a progressive style along with all of the musical instruments having a very power sound to them, death metal growls can also be heard at times as well as the music also having its avant garde moments and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic style.
Void plays a musical style that is mostly rooted in black metal while also mixing in elements of grind, hardcore, death metal, post rock and avant garde to create something very different, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover post industrial dystopian themes.
In my opinion Void are a very decent sounding post black metal band and if you are looking for something very different, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Phobia Of A Fiddler's p Paradise" and "The Wildebeast". 7/5 out of 10.
