Velo Misere are a band from Spain that plays an intense and murky form of black metal and this is a review of their 2018 ep "Genealogia del Eterno Desasosiego" which will be released in May by Hexencave Productions.
A very fast, raw and dissonant sound starts off the album along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while the vocals are mostly grim yet high pitched black metal screams and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as the riffs also bringing in a decent amount of melody.
Most of the tracks are very long and epic in length while the music also sounds very modern along with the songs also evoking a very dark atmosphere as well as the music getting very bleak and murky at times and the tracks also always sticks to a very heavy musical direction.
Velo Misere plays a style of black metal that is very bleak, intense and murky, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover tragedy and mourn and the annunciation of death as the supreme power.
In my opinion Velo Misere are a very great sounding intense and murky black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Annunciacion" and "Quimera". 8 out of 10.
