Liturgy Of Desecration are a band from Greece that plays a very satanic and bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2018 ep "And The Goat Of Sodomy Commands..." which was released by Deathrune Records.
Bells and spoken word samples start off the ep which also leads up to a heavier musical direction before going into a very fast war metal direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking while the vocals are mostly bestial growls along with a few black metal screams.
A lot of the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's but modern at the same time while the solos and leads are done in a very raw and chaotic fashion along with some mid paced riffing also being added into certain sections of the recording and at times the vocals get very demonic sounding and as the ep progresses a small amount of dark sounding melodies can also be heard and one track also brings in a small amount of blasphemous church choirs and harsh noises, the ep also closes with a very war orientated outro.
Liturgy of Desecration plays a musical style that mixes war and bestial black/death metal together to create a recording that is very unholy and blasphemous sounding, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover War, Satanism and Anti Christianity themes.
In my opinion Liturgy of Desecration are a very great sounding satanic and bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Integration Of The Prophecy" and "Sadistic Impalement". 8/5 out of 10.
