Majestic Mass are a band from Denmark that h as had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording goes into more of a black'n'roll direction and this is a review of their 2022 album "Destroys Minds And Rapes Souls" which will be released in October as a joint effort between Regain Records and Helter Skelter Productions.
Horror movie style keyboards start off the album along with some grim whispers a few seconds later before going into a heavier direction. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the music also adds in a great amount of black'n'roll elements and all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams while the music also adds in some psychedelic touches at times. When guitar leads are utilized they are done in more of a 70's rick style along with one of the tracks also being very long and epic in length and the music sticks to mostly or slow or mid tempo direction as well as the music also adding in a good amount of traditional metal influences.
On this recording Majestic Mass goes for more of a black'n'roll direction as well as adding in touches of psychedelic rock and classic metal to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover dark and violent themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Majestic Mass and if you are a fan of black'n'roll, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Covenant(Rapists Of The Free Will)" and "Lust & Fire". 8 out of 10.
