Tvier Latnir are an international duo with members from Germany and the United States that plays a very atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of their 2022 ep "Skera" which will b e released on September 28th by Nocturnal Dissonance.
Atmospheric sounding synths start off the ep along with some bass guitars a few seconds later before going into more of a heavier and melodic musical direction a few seconds later. Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard.
When tremolo picking is utilized in the faster sections of the songs they also give the music more of a raw feeling. Spoken word parts can also be heard briefly along with the recording also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as the music also having its dissonant moments and a couple of the tracks also being very long and epic in length.
Tvier Latnir plays a style of black metal that is very atmospheric and dissonant sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in German and cover dark themes.
In my opinion Tvier Latnir are a very great sounding atmospheric and dissonant black metal duo and if you are a f an of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Szandor" and "Skera". 8 out of 10.
