Ecnarettu are a solo project from Athens, Georgia that plays an industrial form of black metal and this is a review of his self released 2023 ep "Conclave Of Darkness".
Industrial style beats start off the ep along with some high pitched black metal screams which also takes the music into more of a heavier and melodic musical. Programmed blast beats can also be heard at times while synths are also added into the heavier sections of the songs at times and the music is heavily rooted in the 90's industrial black metal style.
When tremolo picking is added into t he faster riffing they also give the music more of a raw feeling while spoken word parts and clear vocals can also be heard briefly. Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of t he songs stick to either a 2 or 3 minute limit, clean playing can also be heard on the outro.
Ecnarettu plays a musical style that takes black metal and mixes it with industrial to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Occultism, Luciferian and Darkness themes.
In my opinion Ecnarettu are a very great sounding industrial black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Solitary Practioner" and "Cosmik Luciferi". 8 out of 10.
