This is the final review of a recording from Spain's Proclamation which continues the bestial mixture of war, black and death metal from their previous releases and the album was originally released in 2012 and called "Nether Tombs Of Abaddon" and was re-issued in 2020 as a joint effort between Nuclear War Now! Productions and Ross Bay Cult.
A synth orientated intro starts off the album along with some Gregorian chants and a ritualistic atmosphere along with a brief use of spoken word parts before going into a very fast, raw and brutal war metal direction which also uses a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats and the vocals are a mixture of black metal screams and bestial growls.
The music also keeps the Canadian and Finnish influences of previous releases while also showing an influence of Bestial Warlust. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very chaotic style along with the songs also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
The ritualistic elements that where presented on the intro also make a return on some of the later tracks and also mixes in with the heavier sections of the songs as well as the synths also adding in touches of ambient when they are utilized. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism, Blasphemy and Desecration themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Proclamation and if you are a fan of war and bestial black/death metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Atonement Cenotaph" "Psalms Of Mortification" "Entrails Of The Nazarene" and "Ascension Of The Avernal Demigods". 8 out of 10.
