Endlyset are a band from Sweden that plays an atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of their 2022 ep Beholders" which was released by Duplicate Records.
Melodic guitar solos and leads start off the ep along with a small amount of clean playing before going into a heavier direction. Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams along with some angry shouts and throat singing also being utilized at times and when the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard.
When tremolo picking is added into the faster riffing they also give the music more of a raw feeling while melodies are also added into some of the riffs. Clear vocals can also be heard in certain sections of the recording along with the songs also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
At times the music also gets very atmospheric sounding along with one of the songs also introducing keyboards onto the recording as well as a couple of the tracks also being very long and epic in length. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Swedish and cover death, eternity and Armageddon themes.
In my opinion Endlyset are a very great sounding atmospheric black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Apokalypsis" and "Tusen Ar". 8 out of 10.
