Fadheit are a duo from Poland that plays a depressive form of black metal and this is a review of their 2020 album "Inhaling the Trauma" which was released by Putrid Cult.
Clean playing and synths start off the album before adding in some melodic guitar leads while all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them. Vocals are mostly high pitched depressive black metal screams along with some whispers and spoken word parts also being utilized on a few tracks.
When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can also be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling. At times the vocals also bring in a more deep and angrier approach along with the tracks also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as some instrumental interludes also being utilized at times.
Fadheit plays a style of black metal that is very depressive sounding in the classic tradition of the genre. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in a mixture of Polish and English and cover suicide, depression and anxiety themes.
In my opinion Fadheit are a very great sounding depressive black metal duo and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Nikt juz nie przyjdzie" "Euphoria of Self-Destruction" and "Exhaling the Trauma?". 8 out of 10.
