Hordes Of The Morning Star are a band from Texas that plays a very raw and primitive form of Luciferian black metal with a death metal and a melodic edge and this is a review of their 2012 album "Consummatum Est" which was released by Metalhit.com.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of brutal sounding blast beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very raw and primitive sounding at times along with a great amount dark sounding melodies and death metal influences being thrown into the riffing and there are little to no guitar solos or leads present on this recording, as for the classical guitars when they are utilized they use finger picking to enhance the darkness that is coming out of the music.
Vocals range from high pitched black metal screams to some deep death metal growls, while the lyrics cover dark, occult and Luciferian themes, as for the production it has a very strong, dark, powerful and heavy sound that is not either too over or under produced.
In my opinion Hordes of The Morning are a very great sounding Luciferian/Occult black metal band with a death metal and melodic edge and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "To Sire A Slave" "Altar" "Holocaust" and "Carrion Throne". RECOMMENDED BUY.
