Sacrament Ov Impurity are a band from Mount Vernon, Washington that plays a very raw and primitive form of occult black metal and this is a review of their self released live 2012 demo.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars and at times you can hear the instrument.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very dark, raw and primitive sounding with some melodic parts being thrown into the riffing as well as a brief use of clean playing in addition there is one song that has a doom metal feeling to it as well as a mixture of short and long songs and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.
Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams with a small amount of deep growls, while the lyrics cover Cosmos, Esoteric, and Occultism, as for the production on this recording it is all recorded live and has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Sacrament Ov Impurity are a very great sounding raw and primitive occult black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Cosmic Flame" and "Crimson Eye". RECOMMENDED BUY.
