Luftwaffe Raid are a 1 man band from California that plays a very raw and primitive from of World War II themed black metal and this is a review of their 2004 album "Paradox" which was released by Alpha Draconis Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the synths which are only utilized on the intros and outros bring a very dark and atmospheric sound to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very dark, raw and primitive sounding with some thrash influences and melodic parts being thrown into the riffing at times and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.
Vocals are all high pitched black metal screams along with some samples from war documentaries as well as spoken word parts, while the lyrics cover World War II, Satanism and Darkness with a touch of Aryan Occultism, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Luftwaffe Raid are a very great sounding raw and primitive World War II themed black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check put this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Led By The Trusty Hand Of Satan" "The Secret King" and "Nazi Zombies From Beyond". RECOMMENDED BUY.
