Ornaments Of Sin where a band from France that played a very raw and primitive form of elitist black metal and this is a review of their 2003 album "Inhale Zyklon-B" which was released by Total Holocaust.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a great amount of blast beats being thrown into the music, while the synths which are only used on the intro bring a very dark sound to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very raw and primitive sounding with an early 90's sound to them and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding and high pitched black metal screams along with a brief use of spoken word parts as well as some depressive cries, while the lyrics are written in French with the Burzum cover being in Norwegian and they cover Evil, Darkness and Occultism, as for the production it h as a very raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Ornaments Of Sin where a very great sounding raw and primitive elitist black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Dunkelheit's Pest" and "Stemmen Fra Taarnet". RECOMMENDED BUY.
