HomSelvareg are a band from Italy that plays a very raw and anti human form of black metal and this is a review of their 2010 album "Catastrofe" which will be re-issued in February by Sliptrick Records.
A very fast and raw black metal sound starts off the album along with a great amount of blast beats as well as all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the vocals are grim yet high pitched black metal screams.
When solos and leads are utilized they are done in more of a dark and melodic style and some of the tracks are very long and epic in length while the faster sections bring a great amount of chaos and hatred to the recording and there is also a brief use of clean singing on one track as the album progresses and the whole recording also remains true to a very raw and heavy musical direction from beginning to ending of the recording.
HomSelvareg plays a style of black metal on this recording that is very raw, anti human, and always very harsh, angry and hateful, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Latin and cover misanthropic and anti human themes.
In my opinion HomSelvareg are a very great sounding anti human black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Senza via d'uscita" "Rogo" and "Inondazione". 8 out of 10.
this is a very good review for a very good album. Nice work !
