Wampyric Bloodlust are a duo form Russia that plays a satanic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2012 album "Reborn" which was released by Satanath Records.
A very fast and raw black metal sound starts off the album along with a great amount of blast beats before adding in growls and high pitched screams and all of the musical instruments sound very powerful and the riffs also bring in a small amount of melody at times and keyboards can also be heard briefly.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music is mostly rooted in the 90's second wave black metal tradition and also bring in a great amount of tremolo picking on the guitars and all of the songs avoid using any type of guitar solos and leads and on the last tracks acoustic guitars and flutes are brought into the music for a few seconds.
Wampyric Bloodlust plays a style of black metla that is very raw and old school in the 90's tradition and avoids any type of modern styles to get their point across, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover Satanism, Vampirism, and Darkness.
In my opinion Wampyric Bloodlust are a very great sounding satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Wampyric Madness" "Wolves" "Satanic War" and "Possessed Of A Goat". 8 out of 10.
