Acheronte are a band from Italy that has had music reviewed before in this zine and plays a very raw and blasphemous form of black metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Sun Of No God" which was released as a joint effort between Grimm Distribution and The Triad Rec.
A very fast and raw sound starts off the album which also uses a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while most of the tracks are very long and epic in length along with the vocals being mostly grim sounding black metal screams along with the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Clean playing can also be heard in certain sections of the recording while the vocals also get deeper on some of the later tracks along with the riffs also utilizing more melody on some of the later tracks as well as most of the music sticking to a chaotic style and mixing in both modern and old school influences and as the album progresses a brief use of spoken word parts can also be heard.
On this recording Acheronte creates a very fast, aggressive and blasphemous style of black metal, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Anti Christianity, Evil and Death themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Acheronte and if you are a fan of fast, aggressive and blasphemous black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Heralds Of Antichrist" and "Son Of No GOd". 8 out of 10.
