Paracrona Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

Øystein: The band is consisting of Ringo Van Droffelaar, vocals and myself Øystein Hansen, guitar. We both are composers.

Gregg Roland on bass, Audun Melbye on guitar and Laszlo Juhos on drums.

They're all awesome players that have adapted quickly into our musical style.

2.Later this month you have your first album coming out, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on the recording?

Øystein: We tried to write a record the way we want to hear a record. Strong, catchy, with alot of elements from this alloy of the best types/styles of metal and I think we achieved that pretty well on this one!

3.You refer to your music as being 'Titanium Metal', can you tell us a little bit more about this term?

Ringo

Tintanium is stronger and lighter than many metals and it will not loose its luster. The music is timeless!

It's anti corrotion it will not rust! The name Titanium is coming from the strong great Ancient Titans.

And Titanium metal is such a long process to make, just like our music.

It's extremely complicated to make and it needs a lot of energy and high end machines. Like us and our music-machines.

It's an evolved sophisticated metal.

4.Your lyrics are inspired by ancient old belief systems, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in this subject?

Ringo: the reason is that the ancient belief system is still being used today in many cults. They do magical rituals with the evil forces that are at play and control this world and I think we should all have some knowledge about that. That's why I am saying: break free !

When you really want to learn something you mostly have to go back to the beginning. We have forgotten about it, that's how they can keep controlling the masses.

5.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Paracrona'?

Ringo: Para is for paranoid and paranormal, crona is the crown. So for me it stands for a paranoid paranormal dark kingdom; it's the reality we live in ..or rather trapt in

6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover? Ringo the artwork on the Sun God- front cover is based on the lyrics

it's the Gates of Immortality, the different realities. The beam of light is opening your pinael gland (third eye) and the sacred purifying fire within is rising. The path is symbolized with the stairs, it's a long and tough way up to reach it .

The pineal gland connects us to our spirit-power ant to other worlds/dimensions. That's why decalcifying your pineal gland is such an important thing.

The single cover for Carry The Cross is quite similar. But in addition it contain an upside down pyramide unified with the other one...That is called Shatkona. Source of all creation. Unified Shiva and shakti. Restore the Balance between Spirit and matter. Some Flipping of pyramide systems is needed... Mind and heart connection creates different values than what most societies are based on.

The Paracrona logo in the middle here is shiny, silvery mirror Titanium reflecting colors. (Says Siri Valdman, the single front cover creator)

7.You also have a live show later this month, what can we expect musically once you hit the live stage?

Øystein: We will make an eye catching show for sure and it will have very intense fast parts and slower passages with lots of emotion.

It will be a night to remember.

Ringo: We definitely are going to uplift the spirits :P

8.Currently you are unsigned, are you looking for a label or have received any interest?

Øystein: We'll just see what opportunities comes along the way. When the right deal is presented, we might go with that.

9.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black and extreme metal?

Øystein: So far its going good, people seems to like what we're doing and we're looking forward to how this plays out.

Ringo yes i agree we had very good and fast responses,

10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

Øystein: Hard to tell. Probably gonna evolve in this realm of soundscape we have now trying to make high quality music.

Ringo: Well I think maybe we will have some strange exciting things coming but of course it have to be very good,

I think we might have some eye opening vocals coming, maybe showing some secrets of magic frequencies.

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Øystein: Lots of scandinavian bands like Dimmu Borgir, At the Gates, Mayhem and of course the American scene with bands like Morbid Angel, Nevermore and bay area thrash metal.

Currently listening to The Zenith Passage and all kinds of things from jazz to death metal. I'm a playlist guy, I do not find myself searching for music like back in the day, I just put songs I like in my playlists.

Ringo: bands Burzum, Dimmu Borgir, Gorgoroth, But also very dreamy music.  Me same, I don't really listen to one thing anymore open for anything. If you want to create something new and good you can't keep listening to the same thing, To get inspired.
