In Dusk's Embrace are a solo project from Grand Rapids, Michigan that plays a very raw, lo-fi and atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of his 2022 album "Where The Trees Know My Name" which was released by ithildin Tape Production.
Atmospheric sounding synths start off the album and also mixes in with the heavier sections of the music at times as well as adding in some elements of dark ambient while the only track that is present on the recording is almost 30 minutes in length and the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams.
At times the music also captures a very lo-fi atmosphere while the album also has its atmospheric moments. During the faster sections of the recording a decent amount of blast b eats can be heard along with the tremolo picking also giving the track more of a raw feeling as well as a lot of t he riffing also adding in more of a repetitive approach.
In Dusk's Embrace plays a style of black metal that is very raw, lo-fi and atmospheric sounding as well as adding in elements of ambient to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness and nature themes.
In my opinion In Dusk's Embrace are a very great sounding raw, lo-fi and atmospheric black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording.
