Voids Of Nirvana are a solo project from the United Kingdom that plays a very raw and psychedelic mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of his 2019 demo "Orthopraxy Abandoned" which was released by Inverse Solar Reqvriem.
Synths and clean playing start off the demo while psychedelic orientated soundscapes can also b e heard in certain sections of the recording. Vocals are a mixture of death metal growls and black metal screams along with the faster sections of the songs also adding in a decent amount of blast beats.
When tremolo picking is utilized they also give the music more of a raw feeling while harsh noises can also b e heard at times. Throughout the recording you can also h ear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with clean playing also making a return in certain sections of the demo.
Voids of Nirvana plays a musical style that takes a raw form of black metal and mixes it with death metal and touches of harsh noise and psychedelic music to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness and madness themes.
In my opinion Voids of Nirvana are a very great sounding raw and psychedelic mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Sacking Of Their Sanctuary" and "The Marauders Neurosis". 8 out of 10.
