A.R.:.O.:.A.A/MYWL/MYSTRNG IX.IX.MMXIX/Inverse Solar Reqvriem/2019 Demo Review

 

  A.R.:.O.:.A.A  are  a  solo  project  from  the  United  Kingdom  that  plays  a  very ritualistic  mixture  of  black  metal  and  dark  ambient  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2019  demo  "MYWL/MYSTRNG IX.IX.MMXIX"  which  was  released  by  Inverse  Solar  Reqvriem.

  A  very  dark  and  ritualistic  sound  starts  off  the  demo  while  the  only  track  present  on  this  recording  is  over  30  minutes  in  length  and  improvised.  Harsh  noises  can  also  be  heard  before  along  with  the  spoken  word  parts  also  enhancing  the  occult  atmosphere  of  the  music  when  they  are  utilized.  

  When  synths  are  added  into  the  music  they  also  bring  in  elements  of  dark  ambient  while  clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording.  the  music  also  captures  the  dark  atmosphere  of  black  metal  along  with  the  demo  also  having  its  repetitive  moments  and  percussion  can  also  be  heard  at  times.

  On  this  recording   A.R.:.O.:.A.A  played  a  musical  style  that  took  dark  ambient,  ritual,  noise  and  occult  black  metal  and  mixed  them  together  to  create  a  very  diverse  recording.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  lo-fi  while  the  lyrics  cover  Occultism  and  Ritual  themes.

  In  my  opinion   A.R.:.O.:.A.A  is  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  dark  ambient,  ritual,  noise  and  occult  black  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  solo  project.
