This is a review of another recording from United Kingdom's A.R.:.O.:.A.A which continues the ambient, atmospheric, lo-fi, occult, raw and ritualistic style of black metal from his previous releases and the demo was released in 2019 by Inverse Solar Reqvriem and called "NNHLTNFMDRNTRCHRY XIII.XI.MMXIX".
Asian style instruments start off the demo while ritualistic soundscapes are also added in a few seconds alter. The only track that is present on the recording is also over 18 minutes in length along with a very powerful bas s guitar sound also being added into the background briefly before going into a heavier direction.
When synths are utilized they also bring in elements of dark ambient while also giving the music more of an atmospheric feeling. Vocals are done in more of a tortured black metal style along with some spoken word parts also being utilized briefly as well as the riffs also adding in a small amount of melody, clear singing can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and towards the end a small amount of avant garde sounds can also be heard.
In this demo A.R.:.O.:.A.A takes his ambient, atmospheric, lo-fi, occult, raw and ritualistic style of black metal into a slower direction. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover nature and occultism themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from A.R.:.O.:.A.A and if you are a fan of ambient, atmospheric, lo-fi, occult, raw and ritualistic black metal, you should check out this demo. 8 out of 10.
