This is a review of another recording from Russia's Raiivø which continues the old school and lo-fi style of black metal from their previous releases and the single was self released in 2021 and called "Dobbelthet".
A very dark, heavy and lo-fi sound starts off the single while all of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them. Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams along with some dark sounding melodies also being added into the guitar riffing at times.
When guitar solos and leads a re utilized they are also done in a very dark yet melodic style and when the music finally speeds up a decent amount of blast beats and tremolo picking can b e heard which also gives the music more of a raw feeling while both of the tracks also sound very different from each other.
On this single Raiivø expanded on their old school and lo-fi style of black metal as well as focusing more on a slower or mid tempo direction. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Russian and cover darkness themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Raiivø and if you are a fan of old school and lo-fi black metal, you should check out this single. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Streik Mot Vest". 8 out of 10.
