Frentrum where a duo from Italy that played an occult form of black metal and this is a review of their 2022 album "Aprutium" which was released by Southern Hell Records.
Acoustic guitars and nature sounds start off the album while clear singing can also be heard briefly before going into a heavier musical direction. Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams while melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing and some of the tracks are also very long and epic in length.
All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them while the tremolo picking also gives the songs more of a raw feeling when they are utilized. Spoken word parts can also be heard on a few tracks along with the guitar solos and leads also being done in a very melodic style when they are utilized.
One of the later tracks is also an instrumental also introducing synths onto the recording, movie samples can also be heard briefly as the album progresses as well as a couple of later tracks also adding in a brief use of fast playing and blast beats along with one song also being a cover of the Beatles "Come Together". The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Italian and cover Occultism, Esoteric, Spiritual and Human Demise themes.
In my opinion Frentrum where a very great sounding occult black metal duo and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Sentiero delle nebbie" "In A Timeless Land" and "Mistica del vuoto". 8 out of 10.

Grazie di aver colto questo fiore raro...mio figlio Ant dei Frentrum ne sarebbe veramente orgoglioso...grazie alla fraternità che ha saputo dargli voce su queste liriche veramente struggenti e meravigliosamente black metal
