Stigmata Reign are a solo project from Germany that plays a mixture of black metal and harsh noise and this is a review of his 2022 single "Slowly The Spell Unfolds" which was released by At Hyborian Gates Records.
Power electronics and spoken word parts start off the single along with some clean yet distorted guitar sounds a few seconds later. The track is also over 6 minutes in length while grim black metal screams can also be heard at times and as the song progresses more harsh noises are also utilized.
Stigmata Reign plays a musical style that takes black metal and harsh noise and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark while the lyrics cover holy terror themes.
In my opinion Stigmata Reign is a very great sounding mixture of black metal and harsh noise and if you are a fan of t hose musical genres, you should check out this solo project. 8 out of 10.
