Veriluola are an international duo with members from Finland and the United States that plays an old school mixture of black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2023 album "Cascades Of Crimson Cruor" which will be released in May by nameless grave Records.
A very dark, heavy and melodic sound starts off the album while the solos and leads also add in a great amount of melody. Some of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while the vocals are a mixture of death metal growls and black metal scrams and most of the music is also very heavily rooted in the early 90's era.
When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard while the riffs also add in a great amount of thrash metal elements. Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the tremolo picking also giving the songs more of a raw feeling when they are utilized, one of the songs also introduces clean playing and keyboards onto the recording.
Veriluola plays a musical style that goes back to the early 90's era of black, death and thrash metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover occultism and darkness themes.
In my opinion Verihuola are a very great sounding melodic and old school mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Regal Barbarism" and "Eternal Knights". 8 out of 10.
