Phantom Twilight are a solo project from Warrior, Alabama that plays a very melodic and old school form of black metal and this is a review of his self released 2023 album "Eternal Echoes".
A very dark, heavy and melodic sound starts off the album while the faster sections of the songs also add in a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats which also gives t he tracks more of a raw feeling along with all of the musical instruments on the recording also having a very powerful sound to them.
Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams while the songs also add in a great amount of old school influences. Some of the tracks are also long and epic in length along with the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic style along with one song also adding in a brief use of ritualistic chants and the whole recording also sticks to a heavier direction.
Phantom Twilight plays a style of black metal t ha t is very aggressive, melodic and old school sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover the old god Saturn, Chronos.
In my opinion Phantom Twilight are a very great sounding melodic and old school black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMEDNED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Blood is the Lie" "Initiation" and "Darkness Reborn". 8 out of 10.
