Kosmovorous are a duo from Greece that plays an occult form of black metal and this is a review of their 2020 ep "Glorification Sermons" which will be released in October by I, Voidhanger Records.
A very dark and heavy sound starts off the ep while the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style. When the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling and the vocals are angry sounding black metal screams.
Both of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while the songs also add in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. Clean vocals can also be heard in some parts of the songs along with the riffs also adding in a decent amount of dark sounding melodies as well as all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them, spoken word parts can also be heard at times, cries and whips can also be heard briefly.
Kosmovorous plays a style of occult black metal that is very modern and aggressive sounding as well as adding in some atmospheric touches. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Gnosticism and the Ophidian ways of the pneuma.
In my opinion Kosmovorous are a very great sounding occult black metal duo and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Flagellation Litanies". 8 out of 10.
