Maldicao are a band from Brazil that plays a very raw and necro form of black metal and this is a review of their live 2016 album "Sabbatico Necro Ritual-Live Desecration" which was released by Kult Of Medusa Productions.
Black metal screams and drum beats start off the album bringing in some blast beats a few seconds later along with some fast and raw guitar riffs and the riffs also bring in melodies at times while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and most of the songs are recorded live.
Throughout t he recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music is also very heavily rooted in the 90's second wave style and all of the songs also stick to a very heavy, dark and raw sound from beginning to ending of the recording and they close the album with 2 demo tracks.
Maldicao plays a style of black metal that is very raw and necro in the 90's second wave tradition, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Portuguese and cover blasphemous and occult themes.
In my opinion Maldicao are a very great sounding raw and necro black metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this cassette. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Finado Dia da Existencia" and "Uivo de Salomao". 8 out of 10.
