Aparthiva Raktadhara are a band from India that has had music reviewed before in this zine and plays a mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2021 album "/Adyapeeth Maranasamhita (আদ্যাপীঠ মরণসংহিতা)" which will be released in May by Iron Bonehead Productions.
A very dark, heavy and brutal sound starts off the album while the faster sections of the songs also add in a great amount of war metal elements. Vocals are a mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls along with the solos and leads also being done in a very chaotic yet old school style.
Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the music also adds in a decent amount of 90's influences. Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with all of the music also sticking to a heavier and brutal musical direction.
On this recording Aparthiva Rktadhara focuses more on a Morbid Angel or Angelcorpse style of blackened death metal as well as adding in some touches of war metal to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Sunyata, Impermanence , Apophatic Theology, Gnosticism, Hinduism, Tantra and Occultism themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Aparthiva Raktadhara and if you are a fan of war, black and death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Noumenal Wings Of Uncreation Hoover Over The Excrements Of Sunyata" and "Drowning In The Vitriolic Waters Of Atavistic Nidra". 8 out of 10.
