Excruciate 666 are a band from France that has been featured before in this zine and on this recording plays a mixture of war, black and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2022 album "Antic Warlord Supremacy" which was released by Iron, Blood And Death Corporation.
Ritualistic sounds start off the album before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Synths can also be heard briefly while the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams along with some growls also being utilized at times.
Spoken word parts can also be heard briefly while all of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing along with all of the music also adding in a great amount of thrash metal elements and the guitar solos and leads are also done in a very chaotic style when they are utilized, as the album progresses a brief use of battle samples can also be heard.
On this recording Excruciate 666 adds some Hellenic and epic touches to their mixture of war, black and thrash metal to take their sound to another level. The production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover War, Paganism, Greek Mythology and Historical themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Excruciate 666 and if you are a fan of war, black and thrash metal, you should check out this recording.
