NekroChaparro are a duo from Portugal that plays an experimental, satanic and communist form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2022 ep "Hell's Hammer And The Satanic Sickle".
Communist music samples start off the ep while spoken word parts can also be heard briefly before going into a heavier direction. A small amount of melody can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing along with the vocals being mostly high pitched black metal screams and all of the drum beats are also programmed.
All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them while the music also captures a very lo-fi atmosphere at times and all of the songs stick to either a slow or mid tempo direction, keyboards and spoken word parts are also added on the closing track.
NekroChaparro plays a satanic style of communist black metal that is very mid tempo, lo-fi and experimental sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, Communism and Anti Fascism themes.
In my opinion NekroChaparro are a very great sounding experimental, satanic and communist black metal duo and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Satanic Communism". 8 out of 10.
