Wrang are a band from the Netherlands that has had music reviewed before in this zine and plays a very raw form of black metal and this is a review of their 2020 demo which was re-issued in 2020 by Dominance Of Darkness Records.
Grim yet high pitched black metal screams start off the demo before going into a very fast and brutal musical direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats. The songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the tremolo picking also giving the music more of a raw feeling.
The tracks also mix in a good amount of 90's influences while the vocals also get very deep sounding at times. Clean playing can also be heard briefly along with most of the songs also being very long and epic in length as well as the solos and leads also being done in a very melodic yet old school style when they are utilized and on some tracks also adds in more of a modern style.
All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them and as the demo progresses a brief use of acoustic guitars can also be heard on one of the songs. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Dutch and cover dark themes.
In my opinion this was a very great sounding demo from Wrang and if you are a fan of raw black metal, you should check out this re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Armia Krajowa" and "Morbide Delirium". 8 out of 10.
