Ceremoniële Walging Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the solo project?

Messentrekkers gilde 1983. We are not like you. We are not here anymore.

2.So far you have released an ep, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on the recording?

Melancholic summoning of burzumic possession through malevolent hate. Monotonious hate spreading.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects you have explored so far with the music?

Everything needs to annihilated and wiped of the earth. The new as an old cancer.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Ceremoniële Walging'?

Ceremonial Loathing of modern times. A ritual of blinding hate.

Vreugde is zwartgebrand:

asch en omwalming

lijden tot kruis zich spant

uit nachts omarming

leven is weggebloed

naar alle wenden;

geen witte doodengroet

breekt uit de lenden

martel, éen ruischeling,

lokt mij dit enden

scheemrende kruiseling

aan hemels enden.

(1941)–H. Marsman)

5.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the ep cover?

Our long and glorious history of oppressing other nations knows no boundaries. Animals take control please.

6.With this project you record everything by yourself, are you open to working with other musicians or do you prefer to work solo?

Messentrekkers gilde 1983. “One time I told this lady to give me all her money, she said no. So I cut her and pulled her eyes out. I would do someone in and then take a camera and set the timer so I could sit them up next to me and take our picture together.”

(Richard Ramirez)

7.So far very little is known about the musical project except for a bandcamp page, are you planning on expanding your presence in the future or do you prefer to keep a lower profile?

We would like to flow as the blood rivers of phnom penh. Be as the crocodiles of the Congo.

8.The ep was released on 'Babylon Doom Cult Records', how did you get in contact with this label?

"Good angels have come to share the light of God. And now I saw, among the angels who have been established by him, the angels that came down from the great company of the righteous in the world to come to rejoice in the light of God."

9.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?

I have no idea.

10.When can we expect a full length and also where do you see yourself heading into as a musician during the future?

'the word לבן אלא means "who willed it", and that "the word "א" denotes the Eternal, that is, that which is not the Light of the World but has by its own merit become the light, as light represents the degree of goodness'

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

'Leopold's administration of the Congo Free State was characterized by atrocities and systematic brutality, including torture; murder; and the amputation of the hands of men, women and children when the quota of rubber was not met. In 1890, George Washington Williams used the term "crimes against humanity" to describe the practices of Leopold's administration of the Congo Free State.

These and other facts were established at the time by eyewitness testimony, on-site inspection by an international commission of inquiry, and the 1904 Casement Report. Modern estimates range from 1 million to 15 million Congolese deaths, with a consensus growing around 10 million. Some historians argue against these figures by citing the lack of reliable censuses, the enormous mortality caused by smallpox and African trypanosomiasis and the fact that there were only 175 administrative agents in charge of rubber exploitation. In 1908, the reports of deaths and abuse and pressure from the Congo Reform Association and other international groups induced the Belgian government to take over the administration of the Congo from Leopold as a new territory, Belgian Congo.

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

All things are impermanent, all aspects of existence are unstable and non-eternal. Beings will become so weary and disgusted with the constituent things that they will seek emancipation from them more quickly. There will come a season, O monks when, after hundreds of thousands of years, rains will cease. All seedlings, all vegetation, all plants, grasses and trees will dry up and cease to be. ...There comes another season after a great lapse of time when a second sun will appear. Now all brooks and ponds will dry up, vanish, cease to be.
