Goat Kommander are a solo project from Brazil that plays a bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2021 ep "Bestial Torment" which was released by Black Death Production.
A very fast, raw and brutal war metal sound starts off the ep along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals are mostly bestial death metal growls while the music also adds in a lot of black metal elements and the music also also very heavily rooted in the mid 90's to early 2000's era.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them. A small amount of melody can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing along with all of the songs avoiding the use of any solos or leads to focus more on the rawness and brutality of tracks and the ep closes with a cover of Sarcofago's "Orgy Of Flies".
Goat Kommander plays a musical style that takes war and bestial black/death metal and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, Blasphemy, Alcohol and Negativity themes.
In my opinion Goat Kommander are a very great sounding bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Christians To The Poisonous Snakes" and "World On Fire". 8 out of 10.
