Prousted are a solo project from Argentian that plays a raw mixture of black metal and hardcore punk and this is a review of his 2022 demo which will be released in April by Sentient Ruin Laboratories.
A very fast and raw sound starts off the demo along with a great amount of tremolo picking and d beats. Elements of hardcore and punk are also added into the mid tempo sections of the songs while the vocals are mostly black metal screams and a small amount of melody can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while most of the tracks are also very short in length. When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard along with some touches of war metal and all of t he music sticks to a heavier direction, growls can also be heard briefly.
Prousted plays a musical style that takes raw black metal and mixes it with hardcore punk to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness and negativity themes.
In my opinion Prousted are a very great sounding raw mixture of black metal and hardcore punk and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Untitled 2". 8 out of 10.
