Tomorrowillbeworse are a band from the United Kingdom that plays and experimental and post form of depressive black metal with elements of doom metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Down The World of Nothing" which was released as a joint effort between Avantgarde Music and Bylec Tum.
A very dark ambient drone sound starts off the album and after the intro the music goes into a heavy and melodic direction along with grim black metal screams and they also bring in a mixture of both clean and heavy sections which also adds a post metal feeling to the recording along with the melodies having a heavy doom metal influence to them.
In the faster parts of the material you can hear some raw black metal elements being utilized and they are only used briefly with the focus being on the slower material which also utilizes some powerful sounding bass lines and spoken words are also used in a few of the tracks and as the album progresses melodic guitar leads become a part of the music along with a small amount of acoustic guitars being utilized in some of the songs.
Tomorrowillbeworse bring in a great amount of emotion and sorrow with their music which is very dark and melodic as well as being experimental along with a dark sounding production and lyrics that are written in a mixture of Latin and English and cover self destruction and hatred.
In my opinion Tomorrowillbeworse are a very great sounding experimental, post depressive black metal band with elements of doom metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Distressing Rage" "If you Listen, You Can Hear Them Chewing" and "Down the Road of Nothing". 8 out of 10.
