Dodsfall are a band from Norway that has been featured before in this zine and plays a very satanic and misanthropic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "Doden Skal Ikke Vente" which will be released in February by Osmose Productions.
A very fast and raw musical sound starts off the album along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while the riffs also add in a decent amount of melody as well as the vocals being mostly grim yet high pitched black metal screams and the guitar leads are done in a very melodic style.
Keyboards can also be heard on a couple of tracks while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with one track also introducing acoustic guitars and spoken word parts onto the recording as well as the music taking a more old school style and making it sound more modern and as the album progresses some of the vocals also add in more of a melodic yet grim approach and some of the riffing also adds in elements of thrash and traditional metal.
On this recording Dodsfall remains true to the satanic and misanthropic style of black metal from previous releases while also getting more melodic and also showing a great amount of progress as musicians, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in Norwegian cover Satanism and Misanthropy themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Dodsfall and if you are a fan of satanic and misanthropic black metal, you should check out this album> RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Hemlig Verde" "Gra Himlar" and "Ondskapelse". 8 out of 10.
