Hate Them All/III/Old Temple/2024 Full Length Review

 

  Poland's  Hate  Them  All  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  very  raw,  old  school  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2024  album  "III"  which  was  released  by  Old  Temple.

  A  very  dark  and  ritualistic  sounding  intro  starts  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  songs  mix  in  both  80's  and  90's  influences.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  blast  beats  and  tremolo  picking  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  Some  of  the  riffing  also  adds  in  a  small  amount  of  melody  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  Elements  of  thrash  metal  can  also  be  heard  at  times  along  with  some  touches  of  the  first  wave  era  and  all  of  the  tracks  also  avoid  the  use  of  any  solos  and  leads  and  focuses  more  on  a  heavier  direction.

  On  this  recording  Hate  Them  All  brings  in  elements  of  thrash  metal  into  their  raw,  old  school  and  satanic  style  of  black  metal.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and r aw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Goat  Worship,  Blasphemy  and  Death  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  hate  Them  All  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw,  old  school  and  satanic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Fall"  "Trample  To  Death"  "Way  To  Eternity"  and  "Screams  Of  Silence".  8  out  of  10.

Whipstriker/Hate Them All/Strike Of Hate/Old Temple/2020 Split EP Review

 

  This  is  a  review  of  a  split  ep  between  Brazil's  Whispstriker  and  Poland's  Hate  Them  All  called  "Strike  Of  Hate"  which  was  released  by  Old  Temple  and  we  will  start  off  the  review  with  Whipstriker  a  band  that  plays  a  blackened  mixture  of  thrash  and  speed  metal

  Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  fire,  bells  and  demonic  voices  before  going  into  a  heavier  first  wave  black  metal  direction.  The  vocals  are  also  done  in  the  same  genre  along  with  with  the  music  also  capturing  the  raw  energy  of  punk  rock  at  times  and  the  music  is  also  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  80's  style. 

  The  music  also  mixes  in  elements  of  thrash  and  speed  metal  along  with  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  having  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  also  remain  true  to  an  old  school  style  as  well  as  some  Kreator  and  Entombed  covers.  The  production  sounds  very  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  war  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Whipstriker  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black,  thrash  and  speed  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "In  Fires  Of  Hell"  and  "When  Life  Has  Ceased".

  Next  up  is  Hate  Them  All  who  return  with  their  old  school  style  of  satanic  black  metal.\

  Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  a  very  heavy  90's  influenced  style  along  with  some  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  a  few  seconds  later  while  the  music  also  shows  an  influence  of  the  first  wave  style  as  well  as  the  music  also  sticking  mostyl  to  a  mid  tempo  direction  and  they  also  bring  in  Impaled  Nazarene  and  Skid  Row  covers.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  a  mixture  of  Polish  and  English  and  cover  Satanism,  Occultism,  Anti  Christianity,  Darkness  and  Evil  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Hate  Them  All  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  old  school  satanic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Goats"  and  "Blood  Is  Thicker  Than  Water".

  In  conclusion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  I  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  old  school  black  metal  and  blackened  thrash  metal.  8  out  of 10.

Hate Them All/Goat Tormentor/Old Temple/2019 EP Review

  Poland's  Hate  Them  All  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  continues  the  raw,  old  school  and  satanic  style  of  black  metal  from  previous  releases  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2019  ep  "Goat Tormentoe"  which  was  released  by  Old  Temple.

  A  very  heavy  and  old  school  sound  starts  off  the  ep  while  also  being  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  80's  and  90's  era.  Vocals  are  mostly  grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  along  with  the  music  also  mixing  both  the  first  and  second  wave  era's  of  the  genre  together  and  the  riffs  also  bring  in  a  small  amount  of  dark  sounding  melodies.

  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  small  amount  of  blast  beats  can  also  be  heard  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  Elements  of  punk  and  thrash  can  also  be  heard  in  some  parts  of  the  music  along  with  the  songs  expanding  more  on  the  retro  elements  of  their  previous  releases,  when  tremolo  picking  is  finally  utilized  it  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  On  this  recording  Hate Them  All  mixes  more  80's  influences  into  their  old  school  style  of  satanic  black  metal.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  a  mixture  of  English  and  Polish  cover  Satanism,  Occultism,  Darkness,  Anti  Christianity  and  Alcohol  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Hate  Them  All  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  satanic  and  old  school  black  metal,  you  should  check out  this  ep. Hate Them All/Defender Of The Black Throne/Old Temple/2018 CD Review

  Hate  Them  All  are  a  band  from  Poland  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2018  album  "Defender  of  The  black  Throne"  which  was  released  by  Old  Temple.

  A  very  dark  and  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  grim  black  metal  screams  a  few  seconds  later  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  as  well  as  the  music  being  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's  second  wave  style  and  the  riffs  also  bring  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody.

  A  lot  of  Norwegian  influences  can  also  be  heard  in  the  bands  musical  style  while  the  tremolo  picking  also  gives  the  songs  a  more  raw  feeling  along  with  the  music  also  capturing  the  energy  of  old  school  punk  at  times  as  well  as  a  great  portion  of  the  tracks  being  very  short  in  length,  a  small  amount  of  melody  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  and  the  music  always  remains  very  heavy  and  guitar  leads  and  blast  beats  can  also  be  heard  briefly  on  the  closing  track.


  Hate  Them  All  creates  another  recording  that  remains  true  to  the  old  school  style  of  satanic  black  metal  from t heir  previous  release,  the  production  sounds  very  raw  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Occultism,  Evil,  Darkness  and  Anti  Christianity  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  From  Hate  Them  All  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  old  school  satanic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Hatehameer"  "i  Saw  The  Devil"  "Black  metal  Terrorist"  and  "The  Throne  of  Fire".  8  out  of  10.

Hate Them All/Last Feast With The Beast/Old Temple/2016 CD Review

  Hate  Them  All  are  a  band  from  Poland  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2016  album  "Last  Feast  With  The  Beast"  which  was  released  by  Old  Temple.

  A  very  raw  and  heavy  old  school  black  metal  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  grim  yet  high  pitched  screams  and  you  can  also  hear  some  melodies  in  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  some  tremolo  picking  being  utilized  at  times  and  the  music  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's  second  wave  tradition.

  Elements  of  black'nroll  can  be  heard  in  the  bands  musical  style  and  the  songs  stick  to  mostly  a  mid  paced  direction  while  there  is  a  brief  use  of  fast  playing  and  blast  beats  while  some  riffs  also  bring  in  a  touch  of  the  first  wave  black  metal  style  to  add  in  more  primitive  aggression  to  the  bands  musical  style  and  only  the  last  track  brings  in  a  small  amount  of  guitar  solos  and  leads  while  some  of  the  riffs  do  bring  in  a  small  amount  of  thrash  influences  and  all  of  the  tracks  stick  to  a  very  heavy  musical  style.

  Hate  Them  All  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw  in  the  second  wave  tradition  and  also  brings  in  the  energy  of  punk,  the  production  sounds  very  raw  and  old  school while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  a  mixture  of  English  and  Polish  and  cover  Satanism,  Occultism,  Evil,  Darkness,  Misanthropic,  Hateful,  and  Anti  Christianity  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Hate  Them  All  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  old  school  style  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Fucking  Whore"  :Death  To  All"  "Beer And  Fist"  and  "Victim  Of  Death".  8  out  of  10.
