1. Necrofaith is my faith in music, the sound homage to my Lord.

Necrofaith/Sermon I: True Satanic Black Art/2020 Full Length Review

Necrofaith  are  a  solo  project  from Italy  that  plays  a  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  her  self  released  2020  album  "Sermon  I:  True  Satanic  Black  Art".

A  very  dark  and  ritualistic  sounding  intro  starts  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  musical  direction  which  also  introduces  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  onto  the  recording.  When  tremolo  picking  is  utilized  it  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling  and  the  music  also  shows  influences  of  both  the  first  and  second  wave  eras.

Noise  orientated  soundscapes  can  also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  pf  the  recording  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  blast  beats.  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  the  guitar  solos  and  leads  being  done  in  a  very  dark  yet  melodic  style  when  they  are  utilized.

One  of  the  interludes  also  captures  the  atmosphere  of  a  classic  horror  movie  soundtrack  as  well  as  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  demonic  sounding  spoken  words  parts  before  returning  back  to  a  heavier  direction  and  as  the  album  progresses  synths  are  added  onto  the  album  and  the  three  closing  tracks  are  instrumentals.  The  production  sounds  very  dark,  raw  and  lo-fi  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Darkness  and  Black  Metal  themes.

In  my  opinion  Necrofaith  are  a  very  great  sounding  satanic  black  metal  solo  project  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Bitch  Of  Satan"  "Blood's  Chalice"  and  "Black  Metal  Is  Chaos".  8/5  out  of  10.
