Can you give us an update on what is going n with the band these days?The band is actually entering a temporary period of total silence and distance.
Our actual goal is to focus on the distribution and promotion of our upcoming full debut album release,entitled “Kathaarian Vortex” which will be released by the italian record label My Kingdom Music in february 25th 2013.
Under license by our label, the album will be also released in a limited vinyl version by Sad Sun Music together with an old school Tape version by Bylec-Tum Productions.
No new compositions at the moment.
How would you describe the musical sound of the new album and how it differs from previous releases?
Kathaarian Vortex was entirely produced by Me in my personal nekro recording studio called Panzerfaust, in Bergen, Norway and the sound is a complex work trying to reach a kind of extreme icecold, brutal and destructive sound, with razor sharp guitars and dark atmospheres, everything crafted with a so called 1992 black metal sound type.
The overall sound of the debut album represents an evolution in relation with our previous releases of the past.
This is what we call The Black Metal sound.
What the modern mass listen to nowadays in modern productions can’t be called as that.
We consider our album sound as:
Not Human. Artic. Satanic. Claustrophobic and Destructive.
What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?
We deal with occult, satanic ,mysticism and cosmic nihilism/ elitism/ Isolation.
What is the meaning and inspiration behind the bands name?
The band’s name has occult origins and reflects his meaning in a kind of secret initation ritualism towards Satan and Darkness.
Currently the band members live in both Italy or Norway, how does that work when it comes to composing music?
Because of distance problems, normally our compositions or releases use to be crafted in long terms of time but we don’t care so much about that.
We are perfectionists and use to compose tracks in different ,so called phases of time,starting by creating guitar riffs and working on the whole structure afterwards.
Has the band ever played live or is this strictly a studio project?
APOLOKIA never played live and will never do that.
Playing live is Not Black Metal according to our belief and attitude.
Black Metal is Not Music and should be only for the Elite.= Not for the Mass.
On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your newer music by fans of black metal?
We don’t know yet, but we don’t care.
What we create in APOLOKIA is for ourselves.
We don’t give a fuck about humans , trends and other subhuman clown metal ” scenes”.
APOLOKIA do not belong any “scene”.
APOLOKIA do not support any “scene”.
What is going on with the other musical projects these days?
No activity at the moment but a new solo project of mine is planned in the near future, something that has nothing to do with Black Metal but rather with nekro industrial noise ambient soundscapes instead.

What direction do you see your music heading into on future releases?
Actually me and Verminaard have only discussed about future directions in style and concept, artistic and not.
It will be an evolution of our typical trademark, but even colder,malevolent,hypnotic and disturbing than our previous releases.
What are some bands or musical styles that have influenced your newer music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
I think we are always influenced by the old school black metal bands of the early 90’s as usual, together with other bands from different kind of music, like industrial, noise,dark ambient,ritualist.
I don’t consider to name bands.
How would you describe your views on Satanism and Occultism?
We are satanists and we follow different “ways”that are all connected by cosmic dark forces.
Our research includes occult studies and philosophical beliefs,which deal with a multitude of esoteric connections with the left hand path,catharism,nihilism, misanthropic isolation code,blood cult and hyperborean mysticism.
Black Metal is connected to Satanism and this is the only principle of its purity.
If is not Satanic , you Cannot call it Black Metal, I’d rather consider it extreme metal or open minded shit that is so popular today between “humanoids and metal clowns”of the 2000 era.
Black Metal is Satan.
Black Metal is Hatred.
