Disharmonic/Carmini Mortis/Beyond Productions/Black tears/2016 Double CD Re-Issue Review

Disharmonic  are  a  band  from  Italy  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  ritualistic  and  occult  mixture  of  black  and  doom  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2012  album  "Camini  Mortis"  which  will  be  re-issued  on  May  27th,  2016  as  a  joint  effort  between  Beyond  Productions  and  Black  Tears  and also  contains  their  2014  ep  "Il  Rituale  dei  Non  Morti"  which  has  already  been  reviewed  by  this  zine  so  I  will  focus  more  on  the  first  disc.

Dark  and  ritualistic  sounding  synths  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  spoken  word  parts  a  few  seconds  later  and  you  can  also  hear  tribal  beats  in  the  background  and  they  start  mixing  these  elements  in  with  grim  black  metal  screams  and  melodic  yet depressive  doom  metal  rififng  on  the  second  track.

All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  the  music  also  brings  in  the  atmosphere  of  a  horror  movie  at  times  and  the  solos  and  leads  also  stick  to  a  very  dark  and  melodic  direction  while  most  of  the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length    and  when  the  music  speeds  up  it  brings  in  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  adds  more  of  a  raw  black  metal  touch  to  the  music.

Clean  singing  can  also  be  heard  at times  and  as  the  album  progresses  the  songs  start  incorporating  more  avant  garde  elements  and  there  is  also  a  brief  use  of  classical  guitars  and  the  vocals  also  start  incorporating  more  growls  on  the  later  tracks  and  there  is  also  a  concept  with  some  of  the  songs  that  are  divided  into 3 parts.

Disharmonic  creates  an  album  that  takes  occult  black  metal  and  mixes  it  in  with  doom  and  ritualistic  music  to  create  something  very  original,  the  production sounds  very  powerful  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Latin  and  cover  Occultism,  Witches,  Evil,  Spirits  and  Hell  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Disharmonic  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  doom,  occult  black  metal  and  ritualistic  music,  you  should  check  out  this  re-issue.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Livor  Mortis"  "La  Litania  Del  Chiedo"  "Sotto  il  flusso  di  una  luna  malvagia'  and  "E'  giunta  la  fine".  8  out  of  10.

Disharmonic/Magiche Arti e Oscuri Deliri/Beyond Productions/2015 CD Review

Disharmonic  are  a  band  from  Italy  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  an  occult  mixture  of  black  and  doom  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2015  album  "Magiche  Arti  e  Oscuri  Deliri"  which  was  released  by  Beyond  Productions.

A  very  dark  and  evil  avant  garde  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  ritualistic  spoken  word  parts  and  after  the  intro  drums  and  melodic  guitar  leads  are  added  onto  the  recording  which  slowly  leads  up  to  more  of  a  doom  metal  sound  along  with  some  synths  and  grim  black  metal  vocals  which  also  bring  in  clean  singing  at  times.

Demonic  whispers  can  be  heard  briefly  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  and  the  guitar  riffing  can  be  very  melodic  at  times  and  a  few  of  the  tracks  are  long  an d epic  in  length  along  with  all  of  the  musical  instruments  having  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  while  all  of  the  songs  remain  true  to  a  very  slow,  dark,  heavy  and  melodic  musical  direction  and  the  ritualistic  spoken  word  parts  also  make  a  return  on  a  few  of  the  later  tracks.

With  this  album  Disharmonic  continues  to  expand  on  the  occult  black/doom  metal  sound  of  their  previous  recording  and  creates  a  recording  that  is  very  dark,  heavy,  avant  garde  and  ritualistic  sounding,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Latin  and  cover  Occultism,  Evil,  Spirits,  Witches  and  Hell  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Disharmonic  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  ritualistic  and  occult  black/doom  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Cose  Buie"  "Litania  Della  Porta  Ermetica"  "Ippomanzia"  and  "L' uomo  Che  Si  Veste  Di  Bruma".  8  out  of  10.

Disharmonic/II Ritual Dei Non Mortis/Beyond Productions/2014 EP Review

Disharmonic  are  a  band  from  Italy  that  plays  a  very  occult  and  ritualistic  form  of  black/doom  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2014  ep  "II  Ritual  Dei  Non  Mortis"  which  was  released  by  Beyond  Productions.

A  very  slow,  dark  and  melodic  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  grim  vocals  and  screams  as  well  as  some  solos  and  leads  that  also  bring  in  a  good  amount  of  melody  and  once  the  riffs  kick  in  the  music  goes  for  more  of  a  black/doom  metal  sound  which  also  brings  in  clean  singing  vocals  and  chant s at  times  that  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  ritualistic  feeling.

At time s spoken  word  ritualistic  parts  can  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  along  with  one  of  the  tracks  being  long  and  epic  in  length  and  all  of  the  songs  stick  to  a  very  slow  and  ritualistic  musical  direction  and  at  times  they  also  add  in  some  experimental  and  avant  garde  elements  along  with  a  small  amount  of  synths  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

Disharmonic  creates  a  style  of  black/doom  metal  that  is  very  grim,  ritualistic  and  occult  sounding  as  well  as  being  very  avant  garde  and  experimental  at  time,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  while  the  lyrics  cover  Occultism,  Witches,  Evil,  Spirits  And  Hell.

In  my  opinion  Disharmonic  are  a  very  great  sounding  occult  and  ritualistic  mixture  of  black  and  doom  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK "Ritual Dei Non Morti  I".  8  out  of  10.
