1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the band since the recording and release of the new album?
We have been working hard on promoting the new album. We have also been searching frequently for a drummer and second guitarist to complete the group. And I have been writing new material for the ban
2.Recently you have released a new album, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording and also how does it differ from the stuff you have released in the past?
I would describe the musical sound on our new opus as very sinister, malevolent and melodic black metal, with a touch of death metal. How does it differ from the previous release? The first opus was not as well thought through or performed. Dys Inbunden has developed a much more technical and darke
3.You label your music as 'Deosophic Metal'. can you tell us a little bit more about this term?
“Deao” is an old English word for death. “Sophic” from the greek word “Sophia” means “teaching wisdom” or “wisdom from”. It is a combination I have invented. It’s meant to mean “teaching wisdom from death”.
4.Some of the lyrics cover occult and left hand path topics, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in these topics?
Well, I worship the Devil and I have decided to devote my life and art to Lucifer, and the left hand path. So naturally the occult and all forms of black magic are of deep interest tome. Satanism is very private and personal to me, so I will not go into much depth concerning the methods of my practise. I believe the Devil is chaos. And it does not matter which way one choses to worship it. Because it all comes back to the same sourcein the end.
5.Originally the band started out as a solo project, what was the decision behind forming a full line up?
In a way the band still is a “one man show”. I write all the material and lyrics for the band. My bass player Magister Nocturnal joined the band because we get along really well musically. I want Dys Inbunden to be a band not a solo project. I want us to perform live, so that is the only reason behind me forming a full line up.
6.Has the band done any live shows or has this been strictly a studio project so far?
Yes, unfortunately we have only been a studio band for now. That will change very soon! I promise you that.
7.On the fb page it said you where looking for a drummer and a second guitarist, have you had any luck with that that?
We have had some inquiries from local musicians here in Stockholm yes. We shall see if they have the balls to pull it off with us!
8.The new album was released on Liflatinn Productions, can you tell us a little bit more about this label?
Certainly, it’s my own label. I started it back in 2013 when I released the first Dys Inbunden opus Pandemonium Unchained. We specialise in extreme metal genres. Selling records is fucking hard now days for anyone! But if someone out there reading this feels that they have what it takes. Don’t hesitate! Send me your demo and I will check it out.
9.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black metal?
It’s been very good. Nothing but positive reviews and press so far. Black metal fans seem to really like it.
10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
. That’s hard to say really. You are always progressing as a musician, and as a Satanist I don’t know where chaos will take me next! I do know however that we will stay on the path we are on now musically. And take it to more depths and darker extremes for the future!
11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your newer music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
. Other bands and musical styles have not been the only inspiration for this record. The main inspiration has been the Devil and the Nightside. The main goal with this opus is to invision chaos and what happens after death. And to describe it as well as possible. Bear in mind, that this is a near impossible task for anyone. But as a Satanist that is one of the goals I have.
As for the bands that influenced me. I would have to say that would be: Dissection, Emperor, Behexen, Mayhem, Unanimated, Gorgoroth, Behemoth and Dark Fortress.Now days I’m listening to a lot of music. Not just metal either for that matter. At the moment I’m really into metal bands like Dawn, Belphegor, Craft, Forgotten Tomb and Totalselfhatred. As for non-metal bands that would have to be: The Devil’s Blood, Joy Division, The Black Angels and Roky Erickson.
12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
