1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

The group was formed in October 2013 as a studio project. It was recorded a few tracks on the poems of Edgar Allan Poe, Anatole France, Sangiorgi Gordon Byron. Entries successfully went to friends and fans. There were two live shows in October last year. In January this year Narcoleptica Productions released our demo, which, in our opinion, has entered the most original and versatile material.

2.In January you had released a demo, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording?

In terms of sound, we tried to make something between a black-metal and trash with elements of classical music.

Our lirtka - a description of emptiness, wilting, necrosis.

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Nocturnal Art'?

Nocturnal Art - it works, created under vlyaniem dark side - vampirism kolodovstva and demonic forces. It's not just a fad. We feel the appeal of the night of the world and try to open it in his work.

5.Currently there are only two members in the band, are you planning on expanding the line up in the future or do you prefer to remain a duo?

The expansion of the planned, provided that the new team will be fully people approach us, will share our point of view. While Nocturnal Art remains a duet.

6.In January Narcoleptica Productions released your demo as a limited of 50 cd's, do you feel cd's have been a decline over the years considering that mp3's have been taking over?

Feel, and it is very sad, because due to the mp3 format and because of the availability of downloading people are accustomed to that kind of music does not have to pay, but you can not make music for free and this leads to the fact that young teams have no chance earn their creativity. On the other hand, there is now a huge number of similar music, and this applies to all styles, and in this situation mp3 format just need to get acquainted with the material.

7.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black and death metal?

We support communication with fans and musicians from some black - death metal bands. This is mainly the guys from Russia.

8.Are any of the band members also involved with any other bands or musical projects?

No, at the moment we are busy only in their group and devote all his time to this project, but in the future allow such an opportunity, as we believe that the work on other projects with other musicians is a good experience and an opportunity to gain new knowledge and enrich their horizons in music.

9.When can we expect a full length album and also where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

The album is already underway. We plan to finish the summer. We try to develop our concept of music as much as we can. Music will be more aggressive at the same time and melodic than a demo album.

10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Black-metal and classic. Currently listening Carach Angren, King Diamond, Behemoth, Watain, Kreator, Arch Enemy. Inspires the same literature Howard Phillips Lovecraft, Victor Hugo, Edgar Allan Poe, Anatole France. Philosophy, psychology, things of that nature.

Nocturnal Art/Under Pokrovom Nights/Narcoleptica Productions/2015 Demo Review

Nocturnal  Art  are  a  band  from  Kazakhstan  that  plays  a  dark  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2015  demo  "Under  Pokrovom  Nights"  which  was  released  by  Narcoleptica  Productions.

Violent  nature  sounds  start  off  the  demo  along  with  some  classical  guitars  which  also  return  in  some  of  the  later  songs  a  few  seconds  later  and  after  the  intro  heavy  guitars  are  added  into  the  music  and  at  times  pianos  can  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  and  after  awhile  grim  black  metal  screams  and  melodic  riffs  find  their  way  onto  the  recording.

Half  of  the  tracks  are  long  and  epic  in  length  and  you  can  also  hear  a  lot  of  death  metal  influences  in  the  songs  along  with  a  decent  amount  of  blast  beats  and  the  songs  also  bring  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  the  solos  and  leads  the  band  uses  are  also  very  dark  and  melodic  sounding  and  you  can  also  hear  elements  of  thrash  in  the  guitar  riffing  at  times  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  it  brings  in  more  of  a  raw  black  metal  style  while  one  of  the  tracks  also  brings  in  a  brief  use  of  clean  singing  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

Nocturnal  Art  takes  the  darkest  sides  of  black  and  death  metal  and  mix  them  together  to  create  some  very  dark  and  heavy  music,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Russian  and  cover  Mysticism,  Darkness  and  the  writings  Of  Edgar  Allan  Poe.

In  my  opinion  Nocturnal  Art  are  a  very  great  sounding  dark  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Videniya  Among  The  Ruins"  and  "Stroki  Of  the  Madonna  della  Lady".  8  out  of  10.
