Frostnatt are a solo project form Russia that has been featured before in this zine and on this recording plays an atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of his self released 2021 album "Der Kommer Til A Bli Kaldt".
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the album while the riffs also bring in a great amount of melody. All of the drum beats are also programmed along with the solos and leads also adding in a lot of melody as well as a couple of the tracks also adding in a brief use of spoken word parts.
Keyboards can also be heard briefly while the music also has its atmospheric moments and the music is more rooted in a modern style. All of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them along with most of the music being instrumental and the songs stick to either a slow or mid tempo direction.
On this recording Frostnatt goes for more of a slow or mid tempo style of atmospheric black metal as well as introducing spoken word parts into his music while the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Frostnatt and if you are a fan of atmospheric black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Kapplopet" "Snoblind" and "Frossen". 8 out of 10.
