This is a review of another recording from France's solo project which also continues the mixture of black, doom metal and noise from his previous release and the album will be reviewed in April by Devoted Art Propaganda and called "Cannibal Troten".
Distorted sounding drones start off the album while a lot of the music also sounds improvised. Keyboards can also be heard in certain parts off the album while spoken word parts are also added on both of the tracks along with the solos and leads being done in a very distorted style when they are utilized.
Evil sounding samples also added into certain sections of the music while the vocals also mostly grim yet high pitched sounding black metal screams. Operatic female vocals can also be heard briefly along with some of the drum beats also being programmed and elements of doom metal are also added into the slower sections of the songs.
The music is also more experimental than previous releases along with some harsh noises and distorted sounds are also added into some parts of the recording. Clean male vocals are also utilized briefly and during the faster sections of the songs a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking can be heard which also gives the music more of a raw feeling as well as a small amount of melody also being added into the riffing.
Both of the tracks are also over very long and epic in length. Avant garde soundscapes can also be heard in the background at times, clean playing can also be heard briefly as well as a small amount of rain and thunder sounds along with some whispers being added into the music as the album progresses. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in French and cover Death of Monotheism, Cannibalism and Goetia themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Gargowitch and if you are a fan of black, doom metal, experimental and noise, you should check out this recording. 8 out of 10.
