Satryd/Demo 2012 Review

Satryd  are  a  1  man  band  from  Colorado  Springs  that  plays  a  very  atmospheric,  raw  and  primitive  form  of  occult  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2012  demo.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the music   at  times,  while  the  synths  when  they  are  utilized  bring  a  very  dark  and  atmospheric  sound  to  the  music,  as  for  the  bass  playing  it  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  is  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  atmospheric  black  metal  riffs  that  are  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  at  times  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  soft  and  clean  playing,  while  the  lead  guitars  are  very  melodic,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  when  they  are  utilized  are  all  high  pitched  and  grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  that  have  a  very  depressive  tone  to  them  at  times,  while  the  lyrics  cover  a  variety  of  occult  themes  range  from  Sumerians,  Zunis,  Sirius  and  Agartha  as  well  as  some  dark  and  anti  christian  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  Satryd  are  a  very  great  sounding  atmospheric  occult  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  style,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "The Falling  Of  Heaven"  "Slaves  Of  Our  Own  Mind" "A  Dark  New  Age"  and  "Master  Of  Our  Creation".RECOMMENDED  BUY.

  2. The only way to acquire a Satryd album is to either be in the family, be someone he converses with and admires, or stumble upon it deep in the forests of Colorado... Otherwise, you're never going to find his play/work for sale.

The 2012 DEMO CD was marked with Satryds blood, and only handful of people were unlucky enough to get it.
After that album, Satryd buried himself underground and undertook a metamorphosis. He ceased publishing music online halfway through his "Mad Jekylll" era (a threefold concept series).
... After which... "Sun Man" cracked out... Far out, and to rarely be seen or heard from again...
But he's still out there, playing dead... Dropping dead beats... Recording dead... Living dead.
... Only those with the 666th deep sense can summon his spirit. And if you're unfortunate enough, you just might be able to download the Sun Man family solar-discography in your dreams!
