Inconcessus Lux Lucis are a band from the United Kingdom that has been featured before in this zine that plays an occult form of black metal and this is a review of t heir 2014 album "Disintregration: Psalms Of Veneration For The Nefarious Elite" which was released by Nomes Dei Productions.
Dark wind sounds start off the album before the music goes into a slow melodic black metal direction along with all of the musical instruments sounding very powerful which leads to the music getting more raw and fast along with some grim vocals and blast beats as well as mixing the slow melodic parts in with the more fast elements.
There is a great amount of talent and skill in the musical instruments and there are also small amount s of synths being added into the music at times which evokes a more atmospheric sound into their music and when spoken words are added into certain sections of the recording they enhance the ritualistic qualities of the recording and the music also has a more avant garde feeling to it at times along with a few long and epic in length tracks.
The guitar solos and leads when they are utilized are very melodic sounding and there are also small elements of psychedelia and thrash being mixed in with the band's melodic occult black metal sound at times and the songs on this album are the most diverse stuff the band has released so far as well as having more catchy structures this time around as well as adding in elements of traditional metal in certain sections of the recording.
Inconcessus Lux Lucis show a lot of maturity and growth with this album creating a very diverse and original sounding melodic occult black metal album that utilizes a great amount of dark atmospheres and talented music instrument pieces, the production is very professional and powerful sounding and the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism, Death Worship and the Qabalah's darker side.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Inconcessus Lux Lucis and if you are a fan of melodic occult black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Into the Pit Of Purging" "In her Most baneful Shadow" "Witch of the Forge" and "Severed from Sephiroth". 8/9 out of 10.
