Spiritual Desecration are a band from Argentina that plays a mixture of black, war and death metal and this is a review of t heir self released 2013 album "Bestial Legion Ocultista Terrenal".
Demonic laughter starts off the album along with some melodic drones a few seconds later and after the intro the music goes into a bestial black/death metal direction along with some growls and blast beats and they also bring in a mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with high pitched screams being utilized at times.
The band sticks to a bestial blackened death metal sound on the following tracks as well as well as having a raw feeling to them and they seem to be more influenced by the black and death metal bands of the early 90's with nothing modern in their sound but in a good way and the bass guitars also sound very powerful at times.
I can hear a great amount of Brazilian black, death and thrash metal influences from the 80's being mixed in the sound at times and some of the blast beats also make the album have a more brutal feeling and there is also a small amount of evil sounding melodies being at times and on of the tracks towards the end utilizes a small amount of clean playing before going back into a heavier direction.
Spiritual Desecration create a bestial black/death metal sound that take s the rawest forms of mid 80's to early 90's black and death metal genres and take them into a more evil and blasphemous direction, the production has a very dark, heavy and raw sound, while the lyrics cover satanism and occultism themes.
In my opinion Spiritual Desecration are a very great sounding bestial black/death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ceremony Of Desecration" and "Lord Satan". 8/5 out of 10.
